Designed by industry for industry, our Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering will push your career in music production or sound engineering to the next level. Our curriculum is founded upon nearly 90 years of experience at Abbey Road Studios. A studio that has developed innovative recording techniques and trained assistant engineers who have since become well-respected music producers and audio engineers in their own right.
During our intensive, one-year programme you’ll learn from the extensive knowledge and expertise created at Abbey Road Studios. You’ll have access to industry-standard recording equipment and studios and be taught by experts including guest lectures with multi-award-winning professionals such as Andrew Scheps, Sylvia Massy, Bernard Butler, Olga FitzRoy, Daniel Boyle, Ricky Damian and many more. In the summer of 2021, we moved into our new home, the historic Angel Studios in Islington, near Kings Cross. When you train with us you become part of a global network in the music industry.
The diploma will develop you as a rounded professional, with technical skills, knowledge and expertise. You’ll be guided with a creative and informed approach to music production and audio engineering and a deep understanding of the music business and how it operates.

“When I had my first day at the institute I was quite shy and intimidated by my classmates and the staff, but very quickly everyone opened about themself and it felt like a new family really fast. I had teachers that wanted me to succeed and did everything they could to make that happened and it felt amazing to experienced that. I think what matters the most about what I have to say is that you are guarenteed to learn how to make and enjoy making music, but what made it very incredible is the community you’re doing this with. I don’t think I would’ve found in other music schools. Thank you to everyone from receptionists to techs and teachers to admin staff.”
