Forbes Anderson

Forbes Anderson worked as part of the London team between September 2020 – August 2021. He is a seasoned producer, composer/arranger and classically-trained pianist. Before studying with us, Forbes studied Law, specialising in Intellectual Property, at the University of Cambridge, previously studying at the Junior Royal Academy of Music. Working primarily as a pop producer and vocal engineer, his work has been featured on multiple Spotify editorial playlists, amassing more than 200,000 streams. 

Highlights of studying our Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering for Forbes were songwriting workshops with Bernard Butler and Julian Marshall. Additionally, recording piano in a band with fellow technicians and friends Giacomo Vianello and Raphael Sater in Abbey Road Studio Two. Another highlight includes shadowing multi-Grammy-award-winning producer Stephen Johns in Abbey Road Studio One for a full orchestral session.

Since graduating, Forbes’ plate has been full of projects. Portfolio highlights include engineering for critically acclaimed indie rock band Amber Run,. His ongoing partnership with alt-pop singer-songwriter Ewan J Phillips, who has signed to Sony/ATV.  Producing the Royal College of Music violin-piano duet of Maria Gîlicel and Tolga Atalay Ün in Abbey Road’s Studio Two, under the stewardship of Decca legend John Dunkerley. Forbes has also enjoyed many collaborations within the ARI family, including remixing for alumni Harimau and starting a band with alumnus James Li.
