Abigail Adams is a musician and producer who completed our Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering in June 2022.
Originally from Florence, Massachusetts (USA), Abigail grew up playing classical and folk violin, becoming interested in live sound engineering and production at high school. After participating in the Boston Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, performing in their New York Times critically acclaimed Carnegie Hall debut, Abigail attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied Classical Violin Performance and Sound Production. She moved to London in 2018 to pursue a Masters Certificate in Jazz Violin at the Guildhall School of Music.
Some of Abigail’s highlights whilst studying with us include producing classical sessions alongside John Dunkerley in Abbey Road’s Studio One and Two, arranging string quartets for artist Le Montais, and engineering for Jazz drummer Romarna Campbell and spoken word artist DemiMa Nokusa Mseleku. She also recorded two of her original tracks with producer Haydn Bendall in Studio Two at Abbey Road and Studio One at Angel Studios.
Alongside her other work, Abigail performs under the name Sloane Monroe where she combines blues rock sounds and vocals with folk classical string arrangements. She now continues working as an artist, session musician, producer and recording engineer as well as a technician with our students.
