Phill Brown

Phill Brown is a record producer and recording engineer who has worked with some of the biggest artists in the music industry for over 55 years. On huge hits from  The Stones’ “Beggars Banquet” to Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven”.

Phill started his career at the legendary Olympic Studios in 1967 before becoming a house engineer for Island Studios Basing Street in 1970. He’s worked on several award-winning projects, including Rokia Traroe’s Tchamanche, which won World Music Album of the Year at the Victoires de la Musique, the French equivalent of the Grammys.

The list of over 300 artists that he’s worked with reads like a who’s who of the music industry, including: Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Cliff, Led Zeppelin, Cat Stevens, Jeff Beck, Bob Marley, Robert Palmer, Dire Straits, China Crisis, Talk Talk, Robert Plant, Faithless, Dido, Marti Pellow, Dave Gilmour, Zero 7, Jarvis Cocker, Laura Marling, Bombay Bicycle Club, David Gray, Maxi Jazz.
