Job Roles In The Music Industry | Watch Abbey Road Amplify 2022

Job Roles Within The Music Industry | Discover These Exciting Roles

Getting under the hood of other peoples jobs, what they do, how did they get there. What are the challenges they face, what does success look like, it is all incredibly interesting. Especially if you’re looking to make your way in the music industry. What jobs are out there? What does it take to make in the music industry in 2022?

The music industry can feel like an enigma. We hear and experience the magic of the final product. Whether it’s listening to the latest releases on new music Friday, discovering an up-and-coming artist at a festival or watching your favourite band at a gig. What we don’t see is all the work that goes on behind the scenes. The vast array of people in different jobs teams big and small and what they do.

The first panel on the last day of Abbey Road Amplify 2023 was hosted by our Head of Marketing, Hannah Fitzgerald. She was joined by six music industry professionals with a variety of different jobs. These included Abbey Road Institute alumna and Grammy-nominated Producer, GG, Project Manager Jay Mobbs-Beal, who has managed teams across global tours, Deputy Director of Engagement & Partnerships for East London Arts & Music Academy, Kim Goddard, Abbey Road Studio’s Artist Relationship Manager, Jay Picasso, Head of Marketing at EMI, Helen Kennedy and Dion Peters who has co-manages Novelist.
