James Brennan

James Brennan is an Abbey Road Institute graduate and member of our Technician team! During his time on our Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering, Brennan produced, mixed and mastered a single titled ‘Moon Project.’ The track was made for multi-faceted folk artist Dan Ottewell and featured plays across BBC Introducing and Radio X.

He plays as a drummer for various acts in London and beyond, including Brooke Law, Matt and the Night Walkers, Jessi Mac and more. He’s played previous live dates at renowned festivals Boomtown festival and Black Deer Festival. He has also had sold out performances at Rough Trade Nottingham and Paper Dress Vintage, Hackney.

Brennan is also a member of the London-based group Rolo Vango, who are working on a new EP, which is scheduled for release 2024. The EP was recorded at our Custom 75 studio at Abbey Road Studios and was co-produced by Brennan amongst fellow technician Yago Fernández.

Moving forward, Brennan is excited to assist students with technical support with this role. In addition, he is also thrilled by the opportunity to work as a runner on sessions in Angel One and is eager to find ways to help engineers and producers in the studio.
