A dedicated recording studio for our music production students.
Our flagship school, Abbey Road Institute London, is located inside the historic Angel Recording Studios in Islington, near Kings Cross. We also have a dedicated studio for our students at Abbey Road in St John’s Wood.
Our new home at Angel Studios has been home to iconic recordings from Adele, Sam Smith and The Cure to film scores such as Leon, GoldenEye, Downton Abbey and many, many more. In 2021 the beautiful Grade ll listed building was carefully restored and renovated to house our 2 Tech Labs, 3 Production Suites, Studios including ‘Angel Two’ and ‘Angel Post’.
Students have access to our facilities to work 7 days a week. We’re proud to host our school in a professional studio environment that supports all areas of the education we offer.

As a student with us, you’ll spend time learning, recording and developing your skills in our industry-standard facilities as well as participating in recording workshops and masterclasses at Angel and Abbey Road Studios. These take place at different stages of your studies, depending on the modules you’re working on. Our facilities include 2 recording studios (one at Angel Studios and one at Abbey Road Studios), each providing a live room and a professional-standard control room. At Angel, we have two Tech Labs where your lectures are hosted and are equipped with individual workstations for each student. These are complemented by three Production Suites which are bookable by students 7 days a week and ‘Angel Post’ our brand new Dolby Atmos Suite.
You have access to the Institute’s facilities both as part of your timetabled teaching and outside of classes for independently managed recording, production and mixing. You can start your project in the studio and continue recording, editing and mixing on the workstations in the Tech Labs or in the Production Suites. Our studios feature a wide array of software and hardware allowing for various hybrid setups which are both practical and suitable for the modern-day audio production environment.
