Charlie Thomas
Charlie began his career at the Pink Floyd-owned Britannia Row Studios in West London, rising from intern to in-house engineer and studio manager within 18 months. During his time at Brit Row, he worked with major artists including Pink Floyd, One Direction, London Grammar, Ella Henderson, Little Mix, Anna Calvi and 5SOS before the studio’s retirement in 2016.Since then, he has built a successful freelance career across renowned studios such as Abbey Road, Metropolis, Assault & Battery, Konk, Livingston, Vale and The Village Studios in Los Angeles. Charlie is now based at the Kinks-owned Konk Studios in North London, working from his writing and production room above the main Neve suite.
Alongside his production, songwriting and mixing work, Charlie is a senior lecturer at Abbey Road Institute, where he teaches audio engineering, acoustics, consoles, microphones and outboard workflows to the next generation of producers and engineers.
