This 12-week Dolby Atmos Mixing for Music course is led by Grammy-winning mixing and mastering engineer James Auwarter. The programme provides a comprehensive and practical exploration of Dolby Atmos for music throughout the course. You’ll benefit from this course if you are an intermediate to advanced music producer and engineer with stereo-mixing skills and Pro Tools insights. The course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on exercises and project-based learning. You’ll learn how to set up a Dolby Atmos environment, mix music in immersive formats, and deliver professional-quality Dolby Atmos mixes for distribution.
Additionally, you will learn innovative, creative mixing techniques for immersive audio, enabling you to push the artistic boundaries and create compelling, unique Dolby Atmos mixes.
You will be taken through subjects like the Dolby Atmos Renderer, an immersive mix of workflows, and ADM file preparation. Your learning process includes individual one-on-one mix assessments throughout the curriculum, a final project review in Week 12, and guest lectures from prominent industry professionals offering different perspectives on the ever-changing world of immersive audio.
