Since graduating Abbey Road Institute in 2021, William Watson now works as a full time artist and producer under the alias ‘Humble the Great.’ He has a co-signing with Universal Music Publishing alongside Neighbourhood Recordings. Whether it’s working with producers for his own artist project or producing for different artists, the work is around the clock.
Some of Will’s biggest achievements so far have been playing at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, supporting pop-star ‘Dylan’ over 2 nights. He says that ‘it was the best thing ever to perform to crowds like that!’ He also says: “recently being recently signed to a publishing company has been amazing,” and having a team has only helped him further fulfil his ambitions. Will’s ambitions now are to keep trying to build his following and keep growing as a creative the best he can.
With an impressive plethora of collaborators such as Pip Millett, Justine Skye, The Free Nationals, Kamal, Col3trane, Debbie, Ari PenSmith, Amie Blu and many more, he feels he has learnt so much from working on other peoples projects, which in turn only inspires him more with his own artist project.
We should expect to see a lot more of Will’s solo artist project in the future. From new music, to concept films alongside those releases, it sure sounds like a very exciting time for him.
