Thomas Briggs

Thomas Briggs is a Recording & Mix Engineer, Producer, Multi-Instrumentalist and Studio Runner at Abbey Road Studios. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Thomas moved to London in 2020 to study our Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering. 

After graduating, he spent one year as a Technician at Abbey Road Institute and a runner for our commercial space, Angel Recording Studios, where he worked on projects with the likes of Little Simz, Inflo, Chronixx and soundtracks for movies such as Suzume. There, he developed his skills as a Sound Engineer and his knowledge of working in a professional studio.

After his year-long contract as a Technician came to an end, Thomas went on to work for high-end audio equipment distributor KMR Audio. This enabled him to further develop his skills as a Technical Assistant through fixing gear for clients, troubleshooting, and travelling to recording studios all across London to deliver and set up equipment.

Now, Thomas Briggs works as a Studio Runner for Abbey Road Studios. Since working at Abbey Road, Thomas says he has expanded his studio knowledge a tenfold. Working on orchestral sessions, pop sessions and events, some of his personal highlights to date include Sam Fender, Sheku-Kanneh-Mason and Kojey Radical to name a few.
