Lucy Kevil
Lucy Kevil is our Front of House & Student Administrator at the Abbey Road Institute. Her main duties involve greeting guests and clients, liaising with Abbey Road to ensure a smooth running of our Angel One bookings and keeping track of student attendance/ finances.
Lucy has always had a passion for music, participating in choirs and learning instruments such as the piano and the guitar from a young age. She really started to hone in on that passion when she began vocal training at age 11. Having completed her ABRSM exams, she achieved Grade 8 Musical Theatre and Grade 5 Classical, whilst also training in Opera and Folk.
She studied Music at GCSE, and then went on to gain a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music at ELAM. There, she specialised in music performance, production, theory, business and song-writing, and was even given the opportunity of a work experience placement at EMI Records.
At present, Lucy releases electropop/hyperpop music under the stage name ‘Tapwaterlucy’. She performs all over London from The Garage to All Points East and currently holds 3 IMV Awards for her debut music video ‘Loveblind’, including ‘Best London Music Video’.
Lucy is also a part of the up and coming music collective ‘LOUD LDN’. A group for female and non-binary musicians to support each other in their rise within the music industry. They organise events, share new music/gigs, post opportunities and have since been mentioned in notable magazines and radio shows such as ‘NME’ and ‘BBC Introducing’.
