Lauren Kosty is a percussionist based in London, UK. She performs regularly in a range of genres including classical, jazz, musical theatre, & recording for film, TV, and pop. Lauren is currently the percussionist & drummer for UK Best Selling Artist, Russell Watson. Other recent performance highlights include appearances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, Puff Daddy at the American Music Awards and Cirque Du Soliel live on MTV. Additionally, she has recorded at Capitol Records with Grammy Nominated Artist David Benoit and Sony Scoring Stage with Emmy Award-winning composer, Bear McCreary. Lauren has contracted musicians for Taylor Swift, Puff Daddy, the Black Eyed Peas, and American Idol. Additionally, she is an artist and featured performer for Sakae Drums & Zildjian Gen 16 “Young Guns”.
Lauren has performed or recorded with John Williams, Alan Silvestri, David Newman, Sir Neville Marriner, Gustavo Dudamel, Keith Lockhart, Jane Monheit, Chris Botti, Bobby McFerrin, Brian McKnight, the Fresno Philharmonic, Long Beach Opera, Santa Barbara Symphony, Monterey Symphony, Dave Ricard Big Band, the American Musical and Drama Academy and in venues such as New York’s Carnegie Hall, Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Concert Hall and the London Palladium. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the USC Thornton School of Music and Master of Music from Carnegie Mellon College of Fine Arts.
