Fraser T. Smith

Fraser T Smith is a multi-award-winning producer, songwriter and musician. He is one of the most in-demand creators in contemporary music today. He has co-written, mixed and produced 7 Number One singles in the UK. In addition to 2 Billboard Number One singles in the US, and contributed to 18 Number One albums. He has spent most of his career producing and songwriting for some of the biggest artists in the world. Some include Adele, Stormzy, Sam Smith, Florence and the Machine, Drake, Gorillaz, Kano, Dave and more. 

He released his debut album,12 Questions, in October 2020, under the moniker ‘Future Utopia.’ 12 Questions features some of Britain’s most vital and brilliant artists, including Stormzy, Dave, Kano, Ghetts, Bastille, Es Devlin, Simon Armitage and Idris Elba. The album discusses issues including faith, freedom, race, gender, wealth, equality and ecology – all born of Fraser’s anxieties about today’s world. 

Future Utopia returned in January 2023 with “We Were We Still Are.” It is the lead single from his forthcoming EP of the same name. The track features vocals from mesmerising spoken word artist, Kae Tempest. The second single, “Your Love,” features the ethereal, haunting vocal of Biig Piig. Followed by Future Utopia’s After Dark Remix of “Your Love” in April 2023. “This Time” (August 2023) also features on the EP – a track which showed Fraser taking centre stage showcasing his distinctive vocals for the first time. 

‘Django’s High,’ is the new album from Future Utopia and is a psychedelic body of work inspired by Spaghetti westerns and themes of escapism. The first three singles showcase Fraser’s versatility whilst managing to refine a distinctive Future Utopia sound.
