Daniel Green

Daniel Green (BA (Hons), MA, PGCE, SFHEA) is Associate Dean of Learning & Teaching at LCCM in London.

Dan is a lecturer, popular musicologist, instrumentalist, and songwriter. He is currently undertaking doctoral studies at the University of York St John under the supervision of Dr Mark Marrington. He is conducting historiographical research exploring the history of the UK singles chart and its influence on popular culture. Dan is also currently a contributor on Huw Stephens’ BBC Radio 6 Music show for his ‘6 Musicology’ segment.

Previously appointed Head of Academic Development at ICMP and Senior Lecturer at Leeds College of Music (now Leeds Conservatoire), Dan has been involved in various musical projects utilising his compositional, arranging, and practical skills. His work has been showcased at numerous festivals and received national airplay through various BBC Radio stations. Dan’s artist project, under the pseudonym Victor RPA, saw the multimedia album Big Sounds from Small People released to critical acclaim in 2015.

Daniel Green is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has been the recipient of two institutional teaching awards: the Most Inspiring Lecturer Award from Leeds College of Music in 2015, and The Dean’s Award of Teaching & Learning from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in 2019.
