Andrés Mayo

Andrés Mayo is an award-winning music producer, immersive filmmaker and one of the leading pioneers in the field of immersive audio. A Dolby Atmos Certified Mixer, he is the founder of Andrés Mayo Mastering & Immersive Audio, a world-class post-production facility that has contributed to more than 4,000 projects since its launch in 1991.

Alongside his work in mastering and immersive audio, Andrés has produced more than 20 albums and three music documentaries, with many of these releases appearing on his own record label, Cool Du Monde. His career combines technical excellence with a passion for innovation, making him a respected figure across both the music and audio industries.

Andrés has also played a significant leadership role within the professional audio community. He is the former worldwide President of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and currently serves as Chairman of the AES Immersive Audio Academy. In addition, he is a World Ambassador for Georg Neumann GmbH, the internationally renowned manufacturer of professional studio microphones and audio equipment.

His work has been recognised with numerous industry honours, including two Latin Grammy Awards, seven Premios Gardel, the Creativeness Award, and a Grammy nomination in 2026.
