Seth Betman
After finishing our Music Production course in 2024, Seth Betman moved to LA to work as a Runner at Westlake Recording Studios in West Hollywood. In this role, Seth contributes to the studio’s everyday tasks. This includes maintaining the facility and working closely with second engineers to provide amenities and set up/tear down equipment.
Outside of his studio work, Seth is mastering projects for various artists he met through Abbey Road Institute. This includes an EP for Split the Dealer and an EP for K. Dene.
As for career highlights, Seth tells us he’s, “very proud of my master for Astrobenja called ‘Falling for You,’ produced by ARI alumnus Augusto Errázuriz. It was also featured on Astrobenja’s new album.” Additionally, he is also proud of his master for Fé’s nonchalant R&B release ‘Keep A Place.’
Musically, Seth is a seasoned jazz trumpet player. Although it’s not something he plays often anymore, he still enjoys the rare moments of playing on others’ tracks. When he’s not engineering, Seth tells us that he, “loves sampling LPs and creating on the SP-404.”
In the future, Seth plans to build a client base in LA. He also wants to continue working with creatives in London and eventually strengthen his focus on mastering for clients across the USA and UK.
