Kit Holdridge

Kit Holdridge is a talented musician and sound engineer who studied for our Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering and graduated in June 2024. Since completing his studies, Kit has joined our Technician team.

Growing up in Leicester, Kit started playing music at age 8 with the Violin as a part of the Leicestershire Schools Music Service (LSMS). His time with the orchestras of LSMS saw him play on stages from the De Montfort Hall to the Royal Albert Hall and some town square performances in the open air of Italy.

Not long after starting to play the Violin, Kit also began singing with his church choir with which he sang until he was 14. After that, he started singing with a local chamber choir as a part of the tenor section. Whilst performing is a great passion of Kit’s, he was introduced to music production in college and quickly took an interest in it. Around this time he started to learn the guitar as a way to develop his songwriting process.

For now, alongside working as a technician at the institute, Kit is keen to build up a clientele of artists and gain more experience as a recording engineer and producer. He’s also pursuing live performance and the development of his artist project with plans for releases before the end of the year.
With a view to his artist project, Kit Holdridge cites Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes as inspirations for his music.
