Jasmine Wilson
Jasmine Wilson is a music producer, sound engineer, and DJ from South East London. In December 2024, she was announced as one of the successful recipients of Abbey Road’s Diversity Scholarship. Thereby securing Jasmine an unconditional place on our Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering.
Since completing her studies, Jasmine has embarked on a role at Abbey Road as a Studio Runner Administrator. This role involves assisting the mastering department with day-to-day operations such as bookings, sending of lacquers to pressing plants and assisting the mastering engineers.
Before joining us, Jasmine studied Music Performance and Production at The Brit School. Since then, she’s returned to work with The Brits in one shape or another. In 2024, Jasmine worked on the Mastercard x Brit Award advert whilst still studying at the Brit School.
Additionally, she had the opportunity to perform on stage at the Brit Schools’ music tech annual Crossfade show. As far as career highlights go, Jasmine’s favourite moment has been learning a little bit from the engineers about their mastering/mixing processes, which has only developed my understanding further. She’s also DJ’d at 10 Downing Street, Nike and Mastercard HQ if that’s any more interesting. I think only mentioning one will do!
As well as being a music producer and DJ, Jasmine is also the co-founder of In Front of The Mic – a community aiming to give underground artists a platform to showcase their talent.
Moving forward, Jasmine wants to be a representative voice for women in music production. She urges us to spread the message that anything is possible and that there is a place for us in the industry.
