Becky Arnold
Following an internship at Australia’s largest recording studio, Studios 301, Becky Arnold took up an assistant engineer position at Dean Street Studios in Soho London. Becky’s role is varied; her can responsibilties range from assisting with setting up sessions, patching outboard gear and operating pro-tools to building baffles and making shelves for microphones. Becky says, “I would love to progress into running sessions myself as an engineer, and also mixing tracks that are recorded there. The atmosphere of the studio is so great, I’m very glad I got the opportunity to be a part of their team and I’m looking forward to my future there.” Becky has also recently launched her own company Amplifindr for which she is raising funds on Kickstarter. Amplifindr is an online studio rental portal for emerging producers, engineers, and artists. Becky hopes to ‘make music more accessible for young and amateur creatives since commercial studios are usually too expensive for people getting started in the business.’ And if that isn’t enough, in her own time, Becky Arnold is also busy developing her artist profile under the alias Violet Bec, and a debut EP is in the works for her.
